With its deep, matte black glaze and rounded shape, the Charcoal Bowl adds depth and contrast to any table. It’s generous without being oversized — great for noodles, salads, or sides. The glaze shows soft tonal shifts and occasional flecks, giving each bowl a bit of character. Its smooth surface and low profile make it feel modern but still handmade. Sturdy and balanced, it’s just as functional as it is elegant. Pair it with lighter ceramics for contrast or keep a set for bold everyday use.
At Clay + Coast, we believe in the quiet power of handmade objects. Each piece that leaves our studio carries the rhythm of human touch — shaped by intention, not perfection. We embrace slow processes, natural materials, and the beauty that comes from imperfection. Our work is rooted in the idea that functional objects can still be deeply personal, quietly expressive, and part of a more mindful daily life.
Our ethos is grounded in community, creativity, and connection to place. We’re inspired by the West Coast’s textures and tones — ocean-worn stones, shifting tides, coastal light. Whether you’re joining a workshop or holding a finished piece in your hands, we hope to share a little of that grounding calm. We’re not here to mass-produce — we’re here to shape objects with care, one piece at a time.
Objects that are made slowly and intentionally, with care in every detail.
Form meets function — pottery meant to be lived with daily.
Inspired by coastal textures, tides, and the rich Pacific landscape.
A shared space for learning, making, and creative connection.
